Your Money Matters

It’s not ‘just money’

Money isn’t just a financial issue, problems can affect every area of your life – your happiness, mental health, work, relationships and more. So through good money management, we can improve and manage different aspects of our health and wellbeing.

Martin Lewis, aka The Money Saving Expert, has created a textbook to start you out on your journey towards financial literacy. While it won’t come close to teaching you all the answers you’ll need for life, it does cover many of the main ones. Through campaigning, the book has now been shared with all secondary schools to help share this information with 14-16 year olds across the country to start a new generation of finance literate individuals.

The textbook contains a wealth of information to help you understand a wide range of aspects from the financial world, including:

  • Saving
  • Borrowing
  • Risks
  • Security and fraud
  • Spending and making the most of your money
  • Money in the world of work

To help you fully understand the information provided, there are also case studies and activities to help you deepen your knowledge.
The textbook is now available to download for free online whether you want to read through it yourself, share it with someone close to you, or within your class.
