Together for Children are working alongside the ICB, Bright Futures CIC and the Young Commissioners to better understand the barriers young people face when accessing employment, education and training opportunities.
As part of this research, they are inviting young people aged 16–25 to share their experiences. The project is particularly interested in hearing from young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), or those who have recently been NEET and have since moved into employment, education or training.

A relaxed and informal event is being held where young people can share their views and experiences in a supportive environment.
Date: Saturday 21st March
Location: Betsy Jenny Café, City Centre
Young people are welcome to attend with a parent, carer or support worker, and there will be no pressure to speak in a group. The aim is simply to listen to young people’s experiences and understand what support could help improve opportunities in the future.
Food and soft drinks will be provided, and all young people who attend will receive a £10 gift voucher as a thank you for taking part.

Why This Matters
The feedback gathered through this work will help partners better understand the challenges young people face when moving into employment or training, and will help inform future support, services and opportunities for young people in the local area.
