Developing skills and confidence with Brighter Futures

Are you aged 16-25 and looking for a brighter future?

Not everyone who leaves school us ready to take the next steps into education, training or employment. The aim of Brighter Futures, delivered by Sunderland North Community Business Centre (SNCBC) is to help you develop your skills and confidence through interactive, lively and motivational activities. Supporting you to take the next steps towards your future career.

Who is it for and why should I take part?

Brighter Futures is for 16-25 year olds who are not in education, training or employment. Through the course, participants will take part in a free, informal 8 week programme for 3 hours per week and by the end of the course, they will receive a nationally recognised qualification. The course also:

  • Includes a meal
  • Is delivered in an informal Covid-secure environment
  • Helps to develop basic skills and self-confidence
  • Encourages independence
  • Includes opportunities to work together to identify and develop attitudes, sills and behaviour needed to progress into employment
  • Provides support with access to training, volunteering and employment opportunities,
