Anti-Bullying CPD Training for School Staff

What is the Anti-Bullying Alliance?

The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) are a unique coalition of organisations and individuals, working together to achieve our vision to: stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn. The ABA has three main areas of work:

  • Supporting learning and sharing best practice through membership;
  • Raising awareness of bullying through Anti-Bullying Week and other coordinated, shared campaigns;
  • Delivering programme work at a national and local level to help stop bullying and bring lasting change to children’s lives;

We provide expertise in relation to all forms of bullying between children and young people. The Anti-Bullying Alliance was established by the NSPCC and the National Children’s Bureau in 2002 and is hosted by the National Children’s Bureau.

Free CPD United Against Bullying Training Sessions

The Anti-Bullying Alliance offers free online CPD anti-bullying training courses as part of their whole-school anti-bullying programme. It aims to develop your understanding of bullying and those most at risk and improve confidence in preventing and responding to bullying. The final session of the course is an optional workshop for schools registered on UAB to provide practical support on the programme.

The training is available to schools in England but there are 70 places available per course, with up to two attendees from any primary or secondary school in England welcome per course, including maintained schools, academies, special schools, PRUs and free schools. One of the attendees must be a member of your school Senior Leadership Team E.g. Head Teacher, Deputy Heads, SENCo, Anti-Bullying Lead, etc.
