Is Gambling a Big Deal for Young People?

Free Accredited Problem Gambling Awareness Workshops for Professionals in South Tyneside

A one-hour virtual interactive training session for professionals working with young people is brought to you by GamCare in association with South Tyneside Safeguarding Children Partnership. The session is delivered by their Big Deal Youth Outreach Team around the subject of: Is Gambling a Big Deal to Young People?

The aim of the session is to: enable frontline practitioners to recognise the risk factors, signs and symptoms of a gambling problem; find out how to talk to young people about problem gambling and where to seek help if they need it; gain the skills to deliver interactive workshops on problem gambling awareness. A certificate of attendance will be provided following attendance.

The following sessions will be held:

  • Thursday 23rd July 10.30 – 12.00 (via Zoom Conference)
  • Friday 7th August 2020, 11.30 – 1.00 (via Microsoft Teams)
  • Wednesday 12th August 2020, 1.00 – 2.30 (via Microsoft Teams)
  • Monday 24th August 2020, 11.00 – 12.30 (via Microsoft Teams)

Please note the session is 1 hour, however extra time is included for connection to Microsoft Teams or questions.
